Who we are

Ask Alice is an AI business advisory service for Irish SMEs, operated through askalice.ie. For data protection purposes, we are the data controller. You can contact us at hello@askalice.ie.

What data we collect

We collect only the data you provide directly to us:

Quiz submissions: your name, email address, phone number (optional), and your answers to the AI readiness quiz.
Contact form: your name, email address, and any message you choose to send us.

We do not use tracking cookies, analytics scripts, or advertising pixels. We do not collect any data passively from visitors who do not submit a form.

Why we collect it

To send you your AI Opportunity Score and action plan by email after you complete the quiz.
To follow up on assessment enquiries submitted via the contact form.
To improve our quiz questions and scoring over time (using anonymised, aggregated data only).

Our legal basis for processing is consent — you provide your data voluntarily when you submit a form. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.

How long we keep it

We retain contact and quiz submission data for up to 24 months. If you ask us to delete your data, we will do so within 30 days.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We use the following third-party services to operate the site:

Turso (database): your form data is stored in a Turso database hosted on AWS EU West (Ireland region).
Vercel (hosting): the website is hosted on Vercel's EU infrastructure.
Resend (email): used to send your action plan email after quiz completion.

All processors are GDPR-compliant and process data under a Data Processing Agreement.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request erasure of your data
Object to or restrict our processing
Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (Ireland) at dataprotection.ie

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to how we handle your data, we'll update this page and revise the date at the top. We won't notify you by email unless required to do so by law.
